“Come, come here,”我向他招着手。
“Are you afraid of me?” “I don't need it. Take it!”
小孩更加犹豫了,摇摇头,“No, my mom says take nothing from strangers.” 忽然,他又回过头来,从口袋里掏出了几张照片,“I tell you what, I sell you these photos.”
“You know what?I haven't swum for years. What's your name?“ 我笑着问道。
“Carleton.”
“Okay, Carleton. That‘s a deal.”
“Hello Jenny, remember me?” 我很从容、自信,because she is my future wife.
“How can I help you?”
“Wait a minute, do I look like a stranger to you?”
Jenny依然不慌不忙,“Did you come up here on business?”
“Certainly I came up here on business. I'm buying a house.”
“The real eastate agent is out of town.” Jenny
“Then I will talk to you and in an hour we will have lunch together.”
I am not going lunch with you, I don't even know your name."
That's not the way it really happened. She got to have lunch with me!
Jenny用奇异的眼神再次扫了我一眼,一手拿起电话,“I think I got to call police.”
“Wait!” 我一把挂断了电话, “I know it sounds funny, but you and I are going to marry.”
“You’re right. That's very funny.”
If you don't remember me, I'm Nocturne, we will be living together in five months time!”
Jenny又拿起了电话,“I better call police!”
“Joke is joke, but this is gone far enough! I'm taking you out for a lunch and no nonsense about it!"
"But I'm definately not going lunch with you! Is that clear? I wish you get out of here. I had a very rough morning. This isn't funny any longer!"
But you have to have lunch with me.”
“No, I don't! Good Bye!”
(4)
“Jenny!”
“Jenny, listen to me,” 我上气不接下气地说道,“I, I know you in the future. I just came from the future. I know you have your birthday in December. We will be getting married then.”
Jenny
I promise, I won't embarrass you!”
Would you please have lunch with me? I won't bother you again after I explain the whole things to you.”
Jenny把脸转向了我,这次她的语调变得柔软起来,“Well, I don't think we will be doing anything good...”
“By the way, I remember you don't eat salmon.”
“How did you know?” Jenny
“You still don't know who I am, but you and I will be living together in five months. We moved to a nice apartment, and one day, that was your birthday......"
”But did you say we had a quarrel after then?"
"Oh, no no, we didn't do it often, just one night, we did. Then I found myself back to my old basement."
"That must‘ve been quite a suprise." Jenny
You are not kidding.”
What am I supposed to do now? How about we get back to where we started?"
Let's admit it's definately a medical problem."
"You don't think it's true?"
Jenny摇了摇头,“I think you ought to see a psychiatrist."
Jenny
(6)
“And, that‘s how it was. I can't tell how I relieved when I was back home with Jenny.”
“Dr. Hooshuke, you know how happy I am that Jenny remembers me."
Dr. Hooshuke抬起了头,眯起双眼,用下巴朝我点了点, “I can imagine it, Mr. Nocturne."
"But I got to be thinking about it...this, this..."
"Aberration," Dr. Hooshuke
“Yes, aberration, this is the second time it happened to me.
"The first time when you were little," Dr. Hooshuke
”Yes! The first time when I was at school I worried about the finals.”
“Yes, you were worried about your final scores, just as you are worried about your finances and pressure on your responsibilities.
“Mr. Nocturne, it is your anxiety, and results from your conflicts...a mental transition, from reality to your fantasy."
You try to tell me that all I have is...day dream?"
Dr. Hooshuke露出了一丝不可捉摸的微笑,“Believe me, Mr. Nocturne, the only thing true is you never left your basement."
"But it was so real!"
“Of course, they do seem real."
“What about Jenny?"
"Illusion. There is no Jenny!"
"What about our new apartment?"
"Illusion."
“What about these photos?"
"Illusion. Remember they were left in the basement from the previous tenant and you took them as your own?"
“We must work out a solution and won't let this happen again. You must be open to your problem and just forget all your feelings and all these things."
"Thank you Doctor, I will."
“Come in.”
“Dr. Hooshuke, the patient's wife drops by to make sure that he is fine."
Jenny!
